What is CGram?

CGram—short for chaingram—is a decentralized, on-chain messaging platform that provides a secure means of communication between blockchain users.

CGram is built on our proprietary protocol that ensures completely anonymous and private communication by storing all messages in encrypted form on the Solana blockchain.

The protocol is also integrated into our Smart Validator Toolkit (SVT). It enables operators to conveniently manage their validator nodes by using a secure dedicated on-chain communication channel to send commands to the Agent, a program installed on a validator server to run Ansible playbooks and initiate validator-related processes.

Direct communication between users is not the only possible application of CGram. Operators of validator nodes or stake pool projects can also use it as a broadcasting tool to make announcements to multiple delegators.

CGram supports mobile devices and is composable with any services that use on-chain or off-chain communication.

There is a number of features under development that we are planning to roll out in the future:

  • cross-chain messaging, including for EVM-compatible blockchains;

  • seamless integration of payment functionality for OTC deals;

  • optional escrow service;

  • mobile version.

CGram is currently available only on Devnet.
