Manage device keys
For security reasons, you can only access private channels from a single device. If you try to view them from another device, all messages will appear scrambled, regardless of whether you are the channel owner or a member. This feature ensures that your private channel is secure in case, for example, the device you use to access CGram is shared with other users.
To decrypt the messages, you need to authorize the new device in your channel on the main device where you have the administrator rights. To do this, you need to add the new device key to the list of authorized devices.
This feature generates a new device key even when you access your private channel from a different browser on the same device. You will need to add the new device key in this case as well. For this reason, you should back up your admin device key to be able to restore full access to your channels, as you can easily lose it just by clearing your browser cache.
You can also delete the keys of the devices you want to restrict from accessing your channel.
